I work in a warm, down to earth, conversational way. As a Humanistic therapist, I respect the individuality of each person with whom I work and their unique life experiences.
While our histories continue to impact us in the present, this is not all we are. I am interested in how we manage ourselves in response to our experience everyday.
I have experience of different approaches and ways of working to ensure therapy is specific to your needs. Therapy can be open-ended or short-term for as long as you find it valuable and useful in your life.
Areas of particular interest include;
- Building self-esteem and learning self-care techniques
- Managing anxiety and panic
- Creating and managing satisfying relationships with partners, family, friends and colleagues
- Conflict and anger management
- Work and career issues
- Loss
- Managing relationships with friends or family affected by severe mental illness
- Fertility issues including the impact of miscarriage, ectopic and molar pregnancies
